Take Action!

Significant Sacrifice helps individuals meditate on Christian responses to global suffering. Beginning February 6, choose one activity to either begin or end for the season, until Easter. Save the money you would've spent on that activity. Use the weekly devotionals found at www.lifewater.org to reflect on the meaning of Lent. After Easter, donate the money you saved to help provide safe water to needy communities.

Why I did it: I'm going to give up sugar. It'll be difficult for me, but it's nothing compared to those who suffer daily for lack of safe water and health.
