Oh, wonder of wonders: I've discovered that help.com is a really cool place where people help each other!

See:

alexa traffic

I started participating there in the beginning of October, and I think my activity is actually putting a pretty heavy load on the servers!

The quality of information on the site is not improving -- and that would be necessary for me to consider this a "sticky" site....

Maybe things will change, maybe they won't, maybe baby....

WARNING !!!

The "In The News" section (below) features sales-pitches, advertising, pop-up windows, etc. prominently -- proceed at your own risk!

Do Not Pay Attention to the "In the News" section (Below) -- the articles listed are poor (algorithmically genereated by Google's computers) and feature lots of Ads

We hope that this "feature" / "bug will soon be resolved, but until that time, please be aware that we do NOT endorse these links, they are created by robots and are sub-standard.

WARNING: Google News Listings (Below) are poor (and may be censored by Advertising Sponsors)

I have noticed that many of the results prominently feature "Adwords by Google" and/or open pop-up windows (I have a popup windowdow blocker installed). Note that many/most of the articles have nothing to with the cause we are trying to promote here (and thereby clearly show the limits of Google's algorithms and/or algorithmic approach).

How to create links using HTML code

many people apparently don't know the HTML code to create links. There are hundreds if not thousands of HTML manuals on the Internet, but here's the quich and dirty "answer":

register domains, sub-domains, promote + advertise your website

It works with "angle brackets": ( < + > ). Inf some of the following examples, I will use square brackets instead of angle brackets -- since otherwise it would be interpreted as HTML code (and not show up as text).

The text ("register domains, sub-domains, promote + advertise your website") has a set of angle brackets in front and behind. Like this

<>register domains, sub-domains, promote + advertise your website<>

Now you need to put the link + some code into the angle brackets. The closing code is super-simple -- "/a" -- so it looks like this:

website[/a]

(replace [] with <>)

The opening code (the simplest form) is only a little more complex:

[a href="http://E-Z.Name"]register

(replace [] with <>)

That's it.

I've start a wiki (don't know yet how "open" it is) at Evaluation 2.0.

Would love to hear your feedback on this!

Moving on the beat -- of the night...

That's the refrain on a song by Bob Geldof (from his "Deep in the Heart of Nowhere" album). I always like biking at night -- when it's late enough that virtually no cars are around. I think it would be neat if that were the case in the daytime too -- maybe it might be that way for our kids. Of course I bike by day, too -- but that means heavy traffic. I wish our kids could grow up without heavy traffic.

From time to time, I really savor peace and quiet.

Reaching Consensual Agreement

That sounds kinda sexy, doesn't it? Well, it doesn't have to be that way: not everything is about sex -- it's only in my head. Hmmm...

OK! Well, so how does consensual agreement make me happy? Well, I feel that my own person is being valued -- and likewise: it also makes me happy to be able to give such a good feeling (which is what I feel from being valued this way) to someone else, too. If this isn't the case, there is an emptiness and/or a vacancy that is draining (it drains out warm feelings like a hole in the wall drains the heat from a room when it's cold outside).

So consensual agreement is like the sun's rays streaming into the room and filling it with warmth into every nook and crannie.

And that makes me feel good!
