Old I Am?

I'd like to encourage Razoo to revise its vision:

"Razoo focuses on reaching the next generation of change agents and leaders - the 18-35 year olds - with the message that giving and serving is fun, easy, and meaningful."

The problem with that short-sighted vision (beyond not including aged folks like me), is that it has no, well no long-term vision. What that vision says is that Razoo will help those young change-agents, empower them, but then they'll eventually be on their own. Or will the site age along with them?

It's fine to reach out (i.e. market) to a specific age group, but in order for the community to have experience and wisdom, it'll have to include people of the "previous" generation. (Of course, neither wisdom nor experience are only for the aged, but we've had more time to gather both.)

A powerful and engaged community needs to be inclusive.

Noise Factor

I have this same problem with Facebook -- you end up getting so many "what's new" updates that it becomes meaningless. Part of the problem comes once you add a very productive "friend" to your network of friends. What ends up happening is that you'll get dozens and dozens of "so and so and so and so are now friends" in your updates -- which means that you'll end up missing the meaningful updates.

So, note to the Razoo creators and designers, it's important that you don't overwhelm people with meaninglessness, when there's lots of meaningfulness going on.
