ARPGE was founded in 2004 by Peace Corps returnee Rebeka Fergusson-Lutz.
In her time in Romania, she repeatedly saw the way that traditional values could be twisted to justify discrimination, abuse, and violence. ARPGE aims to promote gender equality and an end to gender-related discrimination and violence (i.e. rape, sexual assault, family violence, and trafficking in persons) by assisting our Romanian partners to redefine daily interactions between men and women.
ARPGE is working with our Romanian partner organizations by providing grants to alleviating the nation's inequality problems.
