the first sunday when i moved to colorado, i went to a service at a church. that evening i found myself among a real small group of people, mainly karen people who were refugees living here in denver. for the rest of the evening i learned of the atrocities taking place in burma targeted at the karen people. i was horrified to learn these things and that it has been happening for so long. i saw karen refugees crying during the presentation- the memories are fresh and still hurt. i went home that night very affected, i bought a shoulder-strap bag to contribute something? i wish there was more i could do to help.
i am a kid from california living in colorado. i am a traveling nurse. i am enjoying the freedom and adventure of these years of youth. i hope that my adventures will only get crazier and take me to newer and exciting places. i think i will be a kid forever, the kind you see inside the real small and the real old.
i love the ocean. i love the moutains. really i just love the outdoors, and definitely the sunshine. i love seeing and appreciting the quirks in life and in people.
