Why I Joined: Everyone talks about "empowering Africa" etc. but rarely do we escape the dominant aid paradigm. Supporting peoples' efforts to provide for themselves and their families and generate jobs for others- this brings dignity and authentic empowerment.

Why I Joined: I first visited Uganda in 2001, and since then, I've come to live and breath the issues that concern Uganda. The crisis facing the people of northern Uganda is not only tragic but north is shamefully misrepresented internationally, and must be addressed.
