Why I Joined: While have enjoyed my travels in Central America, I would like to experience the politics and culture of Eastern Europe and Central Eurasia. Within these two regions, I hope to travel to Ukraine and Uzbekistan to see democracies in former Soviet states.

Why I Joined: I am a student at Boston College with the Honduras Education and Leadership Project (HELP) and am leading a service trip to Honduras in January. I am very excited that this year HELP is working with SHH to serve the people of Honduras!

11/06/07 Why I did it: Direct contact between people from essentially different worlds fosters intercultural dialog that contribute to lasting friendships. It is my hope that this is what my service work in Honduras has and will continue to achieve.
