I grew up in Atlanta, went to high school in the North Georgia mountains, hiked the Appalachian Trail with Army Rangers, and fell in love with running through the woods. I went to Nashville for college, became involved in environmental policy and the sustainability movement, and had a blast leading our campus environmental group. I took a few summer jobs in Washington state and at Heifer Ranch in Arkansas, and I graduated in May 2007. I'm about to finish up an amazing summer in Washington, D.C., working as a caseworker with a homeless outreach center, and then I'm headed back to Nashville to work with CASA Nashville through Americorps VISTA. I can't wait! I love life, people, the beauty of nature, and the hope and connections that fill each day.
