Hey Michael, Your "stop slum tourism" cause is great. I've been in the situation a number of times, with the opportunity to explore some rough places in third world countries... and it's never been comfortable. It's a difficult choice, because I think it's important to see how people really live to truly understand the needs. I find that taking the time to get to know the folks, treating them as equals, with respect and dignity, is a pretty effective way to handle what could otherwise turn into a terrible show-and-tell field trip. Not taking photos is another good way to keep it respectful. Would love to hear your thoughts on the subject! Thanks, Rebecca
