I can't seem to get away from Peace Corps, lol. My husband and I served in The Gambia. (I am still in touch with my Gambian family and Gambian friends and fellow volunteers...that's my sister Mariama in the picture.)

My husband then worked for Peace Corps and I got to observe Peace Corps second hand from the staff side. He worked at headquarters then took a job as the APCD/Admin in Botswana. We lived in Gaborone for 3.5 years. I have two kids: the younger one was 10 weeks old when we moved to Botswana and she learned to climb stairs at the Peace Corps offices; my second was born there and says she wants to be a Peace Corps volunteer someday.

Back in the States I renewed my involvement with the Friends of Senegal and The Gambia RPCV group, attended a national conference sponsored by NPCA, and then took a job with NPCA.

I love my work and the folks with whom I work. I love hearing about the amazing things that people do with their lives after their Peace Corps service, and sharing in the excitement of those just embarking on their adventure.

Someday when I retire, I'm going to be a volunteer again. :-)

Anyone with a Peace Corps connection...and I mean that broadly! You served, you've always wanted to serve, you just think it's an awesome idea...You get the picture. Anyone who's been out there in the world doing good things whether in the U.S. or abroad.

The Gambia (served there in Peace Corps), Senegal, Botswana (lived there with Peace Corps), South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Zambia, Malawi, all over Europe, Russia, Panama, Jamaica, Thailand...that's all I can think of for now.
