I am a student at Harvard College. I started an initiative to raise funds to support African Union peacekeepers in Darfur, and I campaigned for Harvard to set a target of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 17% by 2020. I recently spent the summer in Zambia to expand a food program for five year olds in an impoverished community in the Copperbelt.

I share Jeffrey Sachs’ belief that, for the first time in the history of the species, my generation has an opportunity to end human suffering. I aspire to develop products and services that serve the three billion people who live on less than $2 per day.

I'd love to meet C.K. Prahalad because he challenges the notion that the poor cannot participate in globalization in The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid. I believe the Bottom of the Pyramid is where the biggest opportunities for economic development and social transformation are to be found.
